Explore The Town of Light is a collaborative project between artist Alexandra Furssedonn Howard, creators of The Town of Light game LKA, and publishers Wired Productions. The aim being to uncover the crumbling ruins of the Volterra Asylum, the setting of the game.
A filmmaker, writer, and student at London South Bank University, Alexandra Furssedonn Howard set out to capture the haunting atmosphere that fills the Asylum and the surrounding mountaintop town of Volterra. Inspired by the peeling paint, abandoned furniture, and ominous mannequins , Alexandra looked to her love of gothic horror and the psychological when creating the Volterra art film and accompanying photographic galleries.
LKA is the recently formed game development studio behind the creation and publishing of the award-winning ‘The Town of Light‘. Based at the gates of Florence, in the middle of the Chianti Shire, the studio was founded by Luca Dalcò after a long experience working in computer graphic and real time applied to various fields like stage design for theatrical representation, documentaries and cultural heritage. The studio is now working on the porting for consoles of ‘The Town Of Light’ and developing a new title focused on 3D photorealistic graphics and a core of adult and mature narrative.
Wired Productions is an established independent computer games publisher based in Watford, Hertfordshire, UK. Founded in 2008, Wired have produced over 40 titles for many global publishers and are part of the team responsible for the 1.5 million unit selling We Sing franchise. In 2013, Wired moved into console publishing on all major platforms. Notable launches to date include Let’s Fish! Hooked On, Tiny Troopers Joint Ops, Last Inua and Super Dungeon Bros. Victor Vran and The Town of Light are the latest titles to be signed for 2017.
